During the Spring Conference of the NVvP ((Annual Dutch Psychiatry Meeting), the Gender & Mental Health Alliance will organize its own symposium on the theme of work-life balance on Wednesday, May 11.
The Alliance is a unique collaboration across the mental health sector, in which mental health professionals, clients, care workers and scientists are represented, supplemented by platform organizations such as WOMEN Inc and MIND. The alliance advocates for more gender-sensitive scientific research and education, and for more knowledge and awareness of gender differences among professionals and the public.
The program starts at 18:30 with a lecture by Dr. Petra de Jong (UHD at the UvA) about the high number of burnout complaints in women. What makes that burnout symptoms occur especially in women? This will be followed by a lecture by Dr. Chantal Remery (UHD at the University of Utrecht) about the economic vulnerability of women, as has become abundantly clear again during the recent pandemic. This will be followed by a panel discussion with interesting guests and an expert on the theme of this symposium.
Visitors to the Congress of the NVvP have free admission to the symposium and do not need to register in advance. Please note there are limited seats available.
Other interested people (non-NVvP members) can register via email@example.com. The costs will then be € 15,- per person.
We have a Young Professional Programme in place. The YP programme promises to be a vibrant program aimed at networking with senior colleagues and potential mentors and having voices heard as emerging leaders in women's mental health. Click here for more information.
